Having left a newish house in the urban sprawl of the West Midlands (shown above), we moved out to rural Shropshire and now live in a stone cottage over 200 years old (shown left).

We were used to just a front and back garden so we were a little concerned to find that the cottage has 4-5 acres of land attached.  Fortunately we are able to rent them out to a local farmer.

  The border between England and Wales is a stream alongside the lane at the bottom of the drive so we are situated, only just, in England.

The nearest village is Llansilin one and a half miles away over the border and the nearest town is Oswestry, five miles away.

There are just two buses a week, so a car is essential.

The views over towards the Berwyn Mountains make this a spectacular place in which to live.
